Frequently asked questions about our support
How do I contact the Mica IT service desk?
Do you have an IT question or are you experiencing a problem? Call our service desk at 0297 – 500 604 or send an email to support@mica.nl. In the event of an urgent problem, it's best to call us right away. For less urgent questions, you can email us with a brief description of the problem.
How can Mica IT's IT support help me?
Our service desk helps customers with day-to-day IT questions and technical issues. This includes workstations, Windows and macOS, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint, as well as accounts and passwords, printers, network connections, and other systems we manage for your organization. If further investigation is needed, one of our engineers will take over.
How quickly will I receive assistance if I have an IT problem or outage?
During business hours, we typically respond within a few minutes. Urgent issues are given priority. How quickly a problem is fully resolved naturally depends on the cause and impact of the issue. For customers with specific agreements, the response times outlined in the agreed-upon service level agreement (SLA) apply.
How does remote assistance via TeamViewer work?
If one of our colleagues needs to take a look at your computer, you can launch TeamViewer from this page. This allows our engineer to remotely view what’s happening on your computer and help you resolve the issue. Please launch TeamViewer after you’ve contacted our service desk. The download on your page supports Windows and macOS, among other operating systems.
Is it safe to let Mica IT view my screen via TeamViewer?
Yes. We use TeamViewer to establish a secure connection to your device. Please only start a support session through the official Mica IT support page and at the request of a Mica employee. During the session, you’ll be able to see that we’re viewing your screen, and you can end the connection yourself.
Can I also be helped without TeamViewer?
Yes. We can resolve many issues over the phone or by email. We only use TeamViewer when it’s faster or more practical to actually look at your screen with you. For issues that can’t be resolved remotely, we’ll work with you to determine the best next step.
Can Mica IT also provide on-site support?
Yes. We can quickly resolve many IT issues remotely, but when that’s not possible, on-site support may be necessary. The type of support included and the terms that apply depend on the service agreement in place with your organization.
What should I do if I encounter a phishing attempt, a suspicious email, or a potential security incident?
If you’re unsure about an email, link, login notification, or other suspicious activity, please contact our service desk immediately and do not click on any suspicious links or files. Tell our colleague what you’ve seen and whether you’ve already clicked on anything or entered any information. That way, we can quickly determine what action is needed.
Can I contact Mica IT outside of business hours in the event of a system failure?
Yes! For mission-critical systems and customers with service level agreements regarding availability, support outside of business hours may be included as part of the service. You can find the terms that apply to your organization in your contract or SLA. If you have any questions, please contact us.
I'm not a Mica IT customer yet. Can I request support?
This support page is primarily intended for existing Mica IT customers. Are you looking for an IT partner, or would you like to know if Mica IT can support your organization? Please contact us at the contact page.
